Hello and welcome! My name is Alexa and my passion is all things animals. I want your fur-kids to live their best lives by being as happy and healthy as possible. I enjoy educating my pet parents on how to take the best care of their pets in the comfort of their own home because stress can often exacerbate illness. By offering my services to pet parents at home, we can work together to help your pets live a longer and healthier life without leaving the comfort of their own home.
To tell you a little about me: I’ve been working professionally with animals since 1997. I earned my Associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2005 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) the same year. I then went on to earn my Bachelor degree in Veterinary Technology in 2018. I’ve worked in both general and emergency practices and currently work for a veterinary telemedicine provider offering veterinary-related advice, answering questions about pets and remote triage. I am also Fear-Free Certified.
I understand the human-animal bond. Our pets are our babies and I want to help you keep them happy and stress-free while also keeping them healthy. I come to you and provide the necessary supplies such as nail trimmers, gloves, and ear cleaner. If needed, I will show you how to restrain your pet in the safest and least stressful way for all involved. I also bring treats!
*It is important to note that I am not a veterinarian. I work together with your primary vet to provide at home veterinary nursing services. You will need a current prescription with thorough instructions for administering medications and/or fluids.
*Your pet must be current on the Rabies vaccine and proof will be necessary before services are rendered. Please submit a photo or upload a file showing current Rabies vaccination to info@alexasvettechservices.com prior to your appointment.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
VETERINARY SERVICES
How I can help
Pets are most comfortable at home and sometimes it’s hard to get to your veterinary office for a nail trim, an ear clean or SubQ fluids. Many pet owners need help giving their pets medication that is prescribed by their veterinarian. Additionally, for some pets getting in the car and walking into a vet can elicit fear, anxiety, and stress. I can help by coming to you. Many times your dog or cat doesn’t even have to leave the comfort of their own bed. I’ve been working in the veterinary field as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2005 and have been working in veterinary hospitals since 1997. My experience along with my education ensures your beloved pet is in good hands. I also love to educate pet owners on how they can do these services at home- saving time and money for you and less fear, anxiety, and stress for your pet.
